Celebrating My First 4-Figure Sales Day

|

From my first online earnings to my first 4-figure sales day in under 2 months

Million Dollar BillA very warm greeting to you!

Today was not only my 65th birthday, but it also turned out to be another major milestone day for another reason.

There’s a tradition in Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge in which he personally phones every one of his partners when they have their first 4-figure sales day.

That call came through for me today.

Those who have been following this blog know that it tracks my progress in building an online business by following in the footsteps of online millionaire Dean Holland.

I started the first session of Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge Turbo 2.0 class on April 8, 2014.

Based on how positive that experience was for me, I followed it up by joining his iPro partnership on May 5.

Now, just 53 days later, he phoned to tell me that I had made $1,000 in earnings on a single day!

Those of you who’ve been doing well in the online marketing industry will not be impressed.

But that’s not who I’m writing this for.

For me, achieving this goal was an enormous psychological and personal breakthrough. I now have an undeniable and very real experience of success under my belt.

By following a plan with clear steps and sticking to the plan in spite of any nagging thoughts and stomach-churning emotions that came up, I made my first online income.

The results of that experience are already making a real difference in my life.

Years in the wilderness

Just a week before, I had told Dean that the — many — years I had spent going from “opportunity” to “opportunity” and method to method had been years spent in the wilderness.

That reminded me of what a famous marketer once told me: “Jumping from one thing to another is what keeps most people from experiencing success, or even progress.”

The great thing about the iPro partnership is that it puts together a great pre-made marketing funnel, sales support, and a full complement of increasingly valuable products priced to be worthwhile for both customers and partners.

You can find out more about what really works in online marketing and have a look at Dean Holland’s Internet Profits courses by entering your email here.

Now, of course, I plan to raise my sights.

Next goal: My first $5,000 in online earnings!

I hope you could relate to this article?

I’d really appreciate it if you’d take a moment to tell me how it touched you by leaving a comment below.

Thanks! –Phil

  1. It certainly is nice to taste success after so long. Sticking to one action plan is better than jumping from plan to plan. Congrats. Hope to see you achieve your goals soon.

    • What you say, Boon, was certainly true for me. I did not start to see any results until I stuck with one action plan. I can see now just how distracted I was, and the poor results that led to.

    • It’s kind of funny, Aneeta, that you see my efforts as an inspiration because I’ve been following your blog and getting inspiration there. I guess it’s true that what goes around comes around. And thank you for the birthday wishes, too.
My “secret” is that I do something everyday to stick with the program and follow my plan.

  3. Hearty congratulations, Phil. You’re spot on in your description of ‘stomach churning’ emotions and psychological and personal breakthrough. Thanks for sharing, and wishing you yet more success in the near future!

    • Very much appreciate your thoughts, Paul. Hope my words help you find any pieces of the puzzle that you can put together to move ahead. I know that making a decision that I would follow in the footsteps of my mentor no matter what had a lot to do with this. For me, Dean Holland is a great example of what to do and how to do it.

  4. Congratulations again Phil, really good news.

I haven’t been doing much since I took an unscheduled body-surf down the road while chasing my dog. But I’ve now just placed an order for a 200 click solo ad, so I aim to get things rolling again and eventually get one of those telephone calls!

    • Sorry about your accident, Michael. I hope you can already feel the mending happening.
I have a pretty good feeling that your special phone call isn’t all that far off. When it comes, it makes all the effort worthwhile. And I know you have all the tools you need now.

I’ll do my best to fill in as many blanks as I can about what to do and what not to do as I go along.

  7. What a fantastic birthday present for you. It will be inked into your mind forever! Your laser focused determination led you out of that wilderness (although I hope it didn’t take 40 years!).

It won’t be long before you start churning out your own products. But first, learn everything you can and build your arsenal through iPro.

I look forward to reading more about your journey and successes; but, please keep sharing your tribulations too. Those will also let us know we all have common obstacles.

    • Clearly, Dawn, you know what you are talking about when it comes to the need to create products of one’s own. That’s certainly on my radar already.
I’m glad you commented about the tribulations, I certainly have had my share, and I want to paint a realistic picture without dwelling on them.
Yes, the big sales day was an amazing milestone–only 20 years in-the-making (if you ask my wife). I was completely stunned. I don’t know if the video gives away how at a loss for words I was.

  8. I know I already congratulated you on the FB page but I was reading through my blog and saw the post from you from the start up of QSC and I decided to check out your blog again.
It is watching the success of others that helps to keep the rest of us inspired. When you list the steps you are taking and we are doing the same thing it helps us to realize that our turn is coming too.
Keep up your inspirational work Phil.

    • Hi Lynda,
Thank you for so kindly sharing your experience of reading my humble scribblings, Lynda.
There are few things that give me the kind of thrill that being able to inspire others does. And I didn’t even know I was doing that, until you pointed it out!
I’d be happy to guest post to your blog, and if you ever see specific content you think is worth running there, just give me a shout.
I’m right now in the midst of a major make-over of the blog. After that I expect to have an abundance of posts including new material that I’ll be glad to share with you.
      All the best,
      Phil
